1. Who we are, and what you're agreeing to

Skope is a payments and savings app for freelancers. It lets you create payment links, get paid in digital dollars (USDC), and automatically invest a share of each payment into a basket of tokenized US stocks. By creating an account or using Skope you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy below. If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the service.

2. The service

Skope gives you: shareable payment links your clients can pay from many wallets and networks; a balance in USDC; an optional auto-invest rule that routes a percentage you choose of every incoming payment into a basket of tokenized stocks; the ability to sell those positions back to USDC; and withdrawals to any wallet address you control.

Skope is software. We are not a bank, a broker, an exchange or a money transmitter. Balances in Skope are not bank deposits and are not covered by any deposit-insurance scheme.

3. We never hold your money

Skope is non-custodial. When you sign in, a wallet is created that belongs to you — the funds your clients pay you go straight into it, and Skope has no ability to move, freeze or seize what's in it beyond the narrow permission described in section 5.

Because only you hold your funds, only you can lose access to them. If you lose access to the email or Google account you sign in with, we cannot recover the wallet for you — keeping that login safe is keeping your money safe.

4. Sign-in and wallets are powered by Privy

Authentication and your embedded wallet are provided by Privy (privy.io), a wallet-infrastructure company. Privy secures wallets by splitting key material inside secure hardware environments, designed so that neither Skope nor Privy ever holds your complete key. Your use of Skope is also subject to Privy's own terms of service and privacy policy.

5. The auto-invest permission

Auto-invest is optional. To run it, Skope asks your wallet for a scoped permission that is limited to buying and selling your chosen basket. It cannot send funds to any other destination, and you can revoke it at any time.

While the permission is active, investments execute automatically whenever a payment arrives, at the percentage you set. Setting the share to 0% stops new investments without revoking anything.

6. Investment risk

The baskets hold tokenized US stocks. Their value moves with the market: it can go up, and it can go down, including below what you put in. Past performance — including the illustrative calculator on our landing page — is not a promise of future returns.

Nothing in Skope is investment, legal or tax advice. You alone decide how much of your income to invest, including none at all.

7. Fees and network costs

Skope currently pays the blockchain network fees for moving your money — investing, selling and withdrawing. Third-party systems used to route payments and swaps (such as bridges and trading venues) may include their costs in the prices they quote. If we ever introduce fees of our own, we will announce them in the app before they apply.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to: keep control of the email or Google account you sign in with; give us accurate information; use Skope only for lawful purposes; and handle any taxes that apply to money you receive or gains you make. Skope does not withhold or report taxes for you.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use Skope to receive payment for anything illegal, to launder money, to evade sanctions, or to harm the service or other users. We may suspend or terminate access to the Skope interface for accounts that break these rules. Because we never hold your funds, a suspension does not — and cannot — take your money: your wallet and its contents remain yours.

10. What we can't promise

Skope is provided "as is". It depends on systems we do not operate — public blockchains, Privy, payment routing and trading infrastructure — and we cannot guarantee they will always be available or behave correctly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skope's liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us to use the service (currently nothing), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes, and leaving

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use Skope after that means you accept the new terms. You can stop using Skope at any time — withdraw your Available balance, sell any positions, and walk away. Your wallet remains yours even after you stop using the app.

1. What we collect

When you sign in, we receive your email address and, if you use Google, your name — via Privy. In the app you may add a business name. We also store your wallet address, your language and country (to pick your default language), the payment links you create (amount, client name, description), and the record of payments, investments and withdrawals the service needs to show you your own activity.

If you write to us through the contact form, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.

2. What we never collect

We never see or store your wallet's private keys, recovery phrases, or your Google password. Authentication and key management happen inside Privy's infrastructure, not on our servers.

3. How we use your data

Only to run Skope: settling your payments, executing your auto-invest rule, showing your activity, answering your messages and understanding, in aggregate, how the product is used. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. Who we share it with

Skope runs on a small set of service providers, and each gets only what it needs: Privy (sign-in and wallets), Alchemy (blockchain data and payment notifications), Relay (cross-chain payment routing), our database and hosting providers, and Google Analytics (see cookies below). We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

5. Blockchain data is public

Payments to your wallet happen on public blockchains. Amounts, addresses and transactions are permanently visible to anyone — that is how the technology works, and no one, including Skope, can delete them. We do not publish the link between your name and your wallet address, but anyone you share a payment link with can see the receiving address.

6. Cookies and analytics

Skope sets a cookie to remember your language (SKOPE_LOCALE, kept for one year), and Privy sets the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used; Google sets its own cookies for that purpose.

7. Retention and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal data by writing through the contact form; we will do so except where we are legally required to keep records of financial activity. On-chain data cannot be deleted, by us or anyone else.
